Parental controls on Onestream

Router admin + DNS layer recommended

Onestream is a national Openreach reseller. Their personalised Wi-Fi setup page mentions blocking sites and timing the Wi-Fi from the router, but there is no dedicated parental controls help page on onestream.co.uk.

How to switch it on

  1. 01

Sign into your Onestream router admin. Address and password are printed on the router label.

  2. 02

Find Access Control or Parental Control in the menu. Add devices by name and set per-device schedules.

  3. 03

For category-level adult and malware blocking, change the router DNS to Cloudflare for Families: 1.1.1.3 / 1.0.0.3. See our /dns/ guide.

  4. 04

Install Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link on each child's device.

Honest limits

What it covers and what it does not

Covers

Per-device schedules at router level. DNS layer adds category-level filtering.

Does not cover

No branded category filter from Onestream itself. No per-child profiles.

Add a free DNS filter

Onestream does not run a network-level parental control filter. The fastest fix is to add a free DNS filter at your router. It covers every device on your Wi-Fi in one step and takes about ten minutes.
