How to remove this later
Open the same router app or admin panel, disable the parental profile or content filter, and save. If your household is moving to looser rules, reduce one control first (for example schedule limits) before turning off all filtering.

How to block YouTube on Plusnet Hub Two
Plusnet Member Centre → Safeguard → Custom Block. Add youtube.com, m.youtube.com, youtu.be and googlevideo.com.
How to pause Wi-Fi on Plusnet Hub Two
No native pause. The closest option is to use the time-of-day toggle in Safeguard to switch the filter from Light to Strict at set hours. For true pause, log into the Hub Manager at 192.168.1.254 and disable Wi-Fi.
How to block social media on Plusnet Hub Two
Plusnet Member Centre → Safeguard → set to Strict (blocks Social Networking) or stay on Moderate and add specific social domains to Custom Block.
Plusnet Hub Two parental controls not working: common fixes
BT Parental Controls instead of Plusnet Safeguard
Plusnet Hub Two is the same hardware as BT Smart Hub 2 but uses a different filter product. Do not try to use MyBT; use the Plusnet Member Centre.
Cannot find Safeguard in Member Centre
Plusnet Safeguard is on by default for older customers but might need toggling on. Look under My Account → Broadband → Safeguard.
Frequently asked questions
Is Plusnet Safeguard the same as BT Parental Controls?
Different products, identical hardware. Plusnet Hub Two is the same Sercomm hardware as BT Smart Hub 2 but Plusnet customers use Plusnet Safeguard (in the Plusnet Member Centre), not BT Parental Controls (in MyBT).
Is Plusnet Safeguard free?
Yes, free with every Plusnet broadband package.
Can I manage Plusnet Safeguard from an app?
No. Plusnet does not have a customer-facing app. Safeguard is managed at https://www.plus.net/member-centre/login.
If Plusnet Hub Two controls are not enough
Router-level controls have known gaps: mobile data, encrypted apps, VPNs. These guides from our sister site BroadbandSwitch.uk pick up where the router stops.
