Parental controls on toob
Router-level access control + DNS layer recommended
toob is a south-coast altnet covering Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, and surrounding areas. Their supplied router has access control (device schedules) but no branded category filter. We recommend adding Cloudflare 1.1.1.3 on the router DNS for adult content blocking.
How to switch it on
-
01
Sign into your router admin at the address shown on the underside of your toob hub (commonly 192.168.1.1).
-
02
Find Access Control or Parental Control in the menu.
-
03
Add devices by name or MAC address. Set schedules per device.
-
04
Save.
-
05
For adult content blocking, set the router DNS to Cloudflare for Families: 1.1.1.3 / 1.0.0.3. Our /dns/ page has step-by-step instructions for every router model.

What it covers and what it does not
Covers
Per-device schedules.
Does not cover
No category-level filter by default. No per-child profiles.
Add a free DNS filter
toob does not run a network-level parental control filter. The fastest fix is to add a free DNS filter at your router. It covers every device on your Wi-Fi in one step and takes about ten minutes.
