Parental controls on Cuckoo
eero Secure (included free)
Cuckoo (which absorbed Jurassic Fibre in 2024) ships every customer an Amazon eero Pro 6E with eero Secure included. Parental controls live in the eero app.
How to switch it on
-
01
Download the eero app (iOS App Store or Google Play) and sign in with the email used at Cuckoo sign-up.
-
02
Tap Home, then Profiles, then Add Profile.
-
03
Name the profile after your child and add every device they use (phone, tablet, console, laptop).
-
04
Open Content Filters. Pick a preset (Child is strictest) or use Custom for category-by-category control.
-
05
Tap Schedules to add bedtime and homework-time pauses.
-
06
Save. The filter is live immediately on every device in the profile.

What it covers and what it does not
Covers
Every device assigned to a child profile, with activity log of blocked attempts.
Does not cover
Encrypted apps, devices not in a profile, mobile data, and devices on a VPN.
Also do this
Even with eero Secure (included free) turned on, adding a free DNS layer adds a second line of cover and closes some of the gaps. It takes about ten minutes and works on every device on your home Wi-Fi.
