Parental controls on WightFibre
Plume HomePass parental controls
WightFibre is the Isle of Wight's incumbent fibre provider, operating its own network independent of Openreach since 2001. Parental controls run through the Plume HomePass app, which ships with their SuperPod-based Whole Home Wi-Fi.
How to switch it on
-
01
Download the HomePass by Plume app (iOS App Store or Google Play). Sign in using your WightFibre account.
-
02
Tap People, then the plus icon to add a person. Pick a photo and assign the devices they use.
-
03
Choose a Content Access level: Kids friendly (strictest, blocks adult and social), Kids appropriate, No adult content, or No restrictions.
-
04
Set Time Out windows to pause internet at bedtime or homework time.
-
05
Tap Person Freeze to pause all of someone's devices on demand. Useful at dinner.
-
06
Save. Profile is active immediately on every device assigned.

What it covers and what it does not
Covers
Every device assigned to a person. Per-person bedtime, freeze, and content filtering with AI Security against malware.
Does not cover
Encrypted apps, mobile data, devices not assigned to a person, and devices on a VPN.
Also do this
Even with Plume HomePass parental controls turned on, adding a free DNS layer adds a second line of cover and closes some of the gaps. It takes about ten minutes and works on every device on your home Wi-Fi.
