Download the eero app on your phone and sign in with the email used at TalkTalk sign-up.

Tap Home, then Profiles, then Add a profile.

Name the profile (your child's name) and tap Devices to assign all the devices they use.

Tap Content Filters and choose an age preset: Pre-K, Pre-Teen, Teen, or Adult. Pre-K is strictest.

Within Content Filters, toggle individual categories: Adult Content, Social Media, Streaming, Chat and Messaging, Shopping, Gambling, Violence, YouTube Restricted.

Features that do not work

Encrypted apps inside WhatsApp, iMessage, Signal: app domains can be blocked but content cannot be inspected.
A VPN on the child device overrides eero DNS filtering.
Mobile data bypass.
Cannot limit minutes inside a specific app (use Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link for that).

How to block YouTube on TalkTalk eero (Future Fibre)

eero app → Profiles → tap profile → Content Filters → toggle on YouTube Restricted. This applies Google's YouTube Restricted Mode network-wide for that profile.

TalkTalk Future Fibre customers should have eero Secure free. If features are missing, sign out and back into the eero app. Contact TalkTalk if persistent.

New device joins without profile

eero app shows Unassigned Device alerts. Tap the alert and assign to a profile, or block the device.

Child uses a VPN to bypass

eero blocks known DoH endpoints but not all VPNs. Install Apple Screen Time or Google Family Link on the device as backup.
